Katherine began her career as an outback tour guide with absolutely no financial literacy, but a strong instinct for people and storytelling. After starting a young family, she returned to study and discovered a passion for financial advice. She now works as a Client Services Officer while completing her Bachelor of Business in Financial Planning. In 2025 she was named the FAAA University Student of the Year, recognised for her advocacy, community involvement and commitment to making financial advice more inclusive and accessible. Her journey reflects the reality of balancing study, work and family, and the belief that non‑traditional pathways strengthen the profession.
